In a small village in the Loiret, in Patay, Ecosystem Laboratoire is giving life to local businesses. Christophe N., deputy production manager had the idea of creating a unique mold that would be used to produce our solid soaps in Ghassoul, in a very special material. From this idea, Christophe approached the company Roger à Patay and was able to make new Douglas pine moulds in his own workshop.

Meticulous and passionate work
Christophe is a meticulous craftsman, concerned with the work well done and details. For the manufacture of these moulds, he chose Douglas pine, a wood renowned for its robustness, durability and natural resistance to moisture. These qualities make it the perfect choice for our moulds, which must withstand demanding production conditions while guaranteeing the best quality for our soaps.
A local and sustainable wood
The Douglas pine used by Christophe comes from a local supplier located in the Loiret, in Patay. The ROGER company, led by a passionate, raises its own wood, thus guaranteeing good traceability and superior quality. By choosing local wood, we support the economy of the region while reducing our carbon footprint, thus contributing to an environmentally friendly production.
The benefits of cold saponification (FAS)
The Douglas pine moulds from Christophe are used to make our solid ghassoul soap. Soap is manufactured using the traditional cold saponification (FAS) process.
FAS is a gentle method that preserves the properties of vegetable oils and ghassoul, while naturally producing glycerin, an excellent moisturizer for the skin. This artisanal process, respectful of nature, allows us to offer high quality soaps, rich in benefits for the skin, while minimizing our ecological impact.
