Natural anti-ageing: discover our tips

Notre Sérum anti-âge à base de CBD

To reduce the effects of time on the skin, such as wrinkles, brown spots and other signs of ageing, there are several simple things you can do. Some of these seemingly obvious steps will keep your skin healthy for as long as possible, while others will help stimulate the cell regeneration mechanisms that have become tired over time. Here are some tips on how to delay the appearance of wrinkles in a natural way.

Many plant oils and cosmetic products are available to reduce the visible effects of ageing on the skin. However, it is still important to take care of the skin throughout its life to prevent it from becoming damaged sooner than expected.

Exfoliation

One of the first natural anti-ageing reflexes to maintain your skin in the long term and delay the appearance of wrinkles as much as possible is to cleanse it thoroughly. As soon as the first wrinkles appear on the face, it is generally recommended to exfoliate the skin once or twice a week. This involves exfoliating, with the aim of removing all dead skin from the skin surface. This action facilitates the regeneration of the cells making up the different layers of the epidermis, as it frees the pores of the skin.

Moisturising

Mature skin often needs to be intensely nourished and moisturised. This step occurs, logically enough, just after exfoliation, which guarantees a good start. Among the ingredients recommended for moisturising skin showing wrinkles and the first signs of ageing are vitamin E and complex fatty acids such as omega 3 and 6, which promote cell renewal and are very easy for the body to absorb.

Make-up removal

It is equally important to remove make-up systematically to keep the skin healthy. Before going to bed, it is strongly advised to take the time to remove make-up with a specific oil or milk to allow the skin to breathe and facilitate the regeneration of the cells that make it up.

Food as a natural anti-ageing agent

The skin remains the reflection of the general state of health of a human being. Indeed, a dull complexion, drawn features or deep wrinkles often reflect a lifestyle that is too stressful, tiring or not healthy enough. Not surprisingly, diet plays a role in preventing premature skin ageing. It seems that a diet consisting of lots of vegetables and fruit is ideal for preventing this phenomenon. The vitamin C contained in citrus fruits, for example, stimulates blood circulation and helps oxygenate the tissues. On the other hand, green vegetables such as spinach contain powerful antioxidants, which revive the complexion and keep the whole body healthy. Oilseeds such as almonds or hazelnuts also give the skin a younger look.

Plant oils as a natural anti-ageing agent

Several plant oils and natural cosmetics can be used to reduce wrinkles that have already formed. The best known examples include borage oil, argan oil, safflower oil, rose hip oil and sea buckthorn oil. These products, obtained by cold pressing certain plants or seeds, contain high concentrations of linoleic acids, vitamin E and omegas 3 and 6. They therefore actively participate in stimulating the regeneration of skin cells and penetrate deep into the epidermis. Some, such as calophylla oil, are used in specific areas such as the eye area, while others, such as prickly pear seed oil, have a restructuring effect on the skin. As they are completely natural, they also have the advantage of being perfectly tolerated and absorbed by the body.

Home self-massage and facial exercise

It may sound like a bit of a joke, but it seems that simply getting your facial muscles moving on a regular basis can help delay the signs of ageing. Facial massage, also known as self-massage when performed on oneself, stimulates blood flow to the face, which relaxes, revives the complexion and oxygenates the tissues. Daily facial self-massage, lasting 3 to 5 minutes, is also said to help reduce stress in general. The most basic exercise involves visualising a vertical line dividing the face in two and massaging with the fingertips from the inside to the outside, starting with the forehead. Then, with the palms flat, massage the cheeks and then the jaws. These gestures are best performed on a cleansed face and require the hands to be slightly warmed by rubbing them together. Facial gymnastics, which consists of making certain grimaces to stretch the muscles of the face, is equally effective. These exercises are often laughable, but they move strategic areas to delay the appearance of wrinkles. Passing a mass of air from one cheek to the other or smiling in an exaggerated manner without contracting the rest of the face are some of the simplest gestures to carry out in this approach.

Kobido, the Asian lifting massage

A long time ago, the Japanese developed a very special massage technique considered in the West as a lifting massage. The aim of this completely natural method is to reduce existing wrinkles and prevent the formation of new ones. Kobido can be practised on oneself but requires a minimum of skill. More than forty techniques of massage, finger pressure, percussion and movements applied to the neck and face are used in kobido. This practice fluidifies both the blood and energy circulation in the face and in the whole body and allows to release a lot of muscular tensions for a more supple and radiant skin.

You now know several reflexes to adopt to fight against skin ageing. Ecosystem Laboratoire accompanies you in this process and offers you cosmetics and food supplements for your well-being.
